The Police ….with ELVIS COSTELLO…. In Kansas City!

The Police have extended their tour, and are making a final swing back through North America, this time with Elvis Costello opening for them.

Sure enough, they’re playing the Sprint Center in KC on May 13th.

Chances that I’ll have the scratch available to get the ridiculously-priced tickets when they go on sale sometime in late Feburary/Early March? Almost certainly nil.

GodDAMNIT!

EDIT: I love my wife! I found out that the tickets go on sale to the public (as opposed to fanclub pre-sales, etc.) at 10:00a.m. on Saturday the 23rd. Tickets range from 50 to 200 bucks. She gets paid on the 22nd, and says we should be able to do the “cheap” seats. WOOT! Now, crossing fingers that it doesn’t sell out before the public sale date…..

Torchwood ’73

Amusingly enough, somebody else had the idea that I had mentioned earlier.

Courtesy of Monkeybrain books, I now have in my hands the following:

An anthology of short stories featuring the adventures of Richard Jeperson, a paranormal investigator working for the Diogenes Club — the least publicized of Britain’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies. His cases involve haunted trains and seaside resorts, murders in utopian communities and London’s vice district, voodoo and mind-altering therapies. He’s equal parts Jason King, John Steed and the Third Doctor, in plots whose style is influenced by 70s British horror paperbacks (like the Peter Saxon “Guardians” novels).

Glam-era paranormal investigation. HELL YEAH.
