The Latest Outrage

Democrats with subpoena power. That’s what it’s taken to get this crap out into the open. Expect more of it during the next two years, as the continual subversions of our Constitution by this administration finally come to light, since now whistle-blowers know that they won’t be swept under the rug by rubber-stamp Republican congressional co-conspirators.

I was going to type up an entry on why the US Attorney firing scandal is a big deal, but 1) I’ve got writing to do, and 2) somebody else has already done a brilliant summation. Go and read it.

Cool Mars Stuff

(Yeah, I know, I should be writing. Shaddap.)

NASA has used high-resolution 3D images of the “Columbia Hills” region inside Mars’ Gusev Crater, taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter to create this animation of a hypothetical flyover of the site where the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit has been trundling about.

Verra nifty, especially in light of my immersion in things Martian as I come down the home stretch for release of our MARS RPG.

Not A Big Fan of Dawn….

Here I sit, ensconced within the cozy confines of the Kansas Union at KU, watching the sky outside the windows getting lighter and lighter as the minutes pass.

BLEAH.

The only time when it is acceptable for me to see dawn is when I’m still awake from the night before.

Morning sucks rocks.

But, here I sit, ready to begin my first day of getting-out-of-the-office dedicated writing. I’ve got online access, thanks to KU’s wireless network (although I’m having to use ‘s login ID, since it isn’t actually open to all, stupid feckin’ university….); I’ve got caffeine; I have multiple places to secure sustenance should I require it….

…and now all that faces me is a blank Word document, and the slowly brightening sky.
