30 Day Song Challenge, Day 5

Today’s entry is the first truly odd challenge: A song about Food.

First of all, it specified food, not drink, so I can’t go with any of the myriad songs about drinks (I’d have gone with “Black Coffee In Bed” by Squeeze, if you’re curious. You probably weren’t. Shut up).

Second of all, it says ABOUT food — but I’m ignoring that. I figure metaphors are just fine. And I’m going to dodge in general, by picking an instrumental:

OK, so here we go with Day 4.

“A song for when you’re feeling EMO or introspective.”

When I’m feeling introspective, I tend to listen to songs tied to a particular moment in my past, related to what I’m being introspective about, if that makes sense. This is one of them:

Unrelated: When I was managing a comic store in Atlanta in 89-90, the Indigo Girls were customers of mine. Big fans of Now Comics’ SPEED RACER, as I recall.
