So I check my email this morning, and I get the following:
This is a letter of apology. I made the post on RPG.net somewhat in haste and I wanted you to know that indeed I WILL be purchasing your excellent Underworld afterall. I can separate the art from the artist. At the time I posted, I was mainly upset that so many game designers, whose work I so admire, have been taking shots at the South, Southerners and so-called evangelical Christians for Bush’s victory at the polls. After all, as many Catholics as evangelicals voted for Bush. Why not blame them?
In any case, I hope you will accept my apology. I hope my post did not cause you any undue stress and I wish you continued success in the future. I still think your politics are wacky, but hey I think Jonathan Tweet’s are too and I still play D&D…
Anthony W. Roberson
P.S. I will be posting a copy of this apology on RPG.net
Nice gesture on his part. Apologies on the internet are rare, and should be applauded when they occur….and, since he’s posting it publicly on RPGnet, I figured I’d return the favor and post it here as well.

Very classy. I think there should be more of that in the world.
Agreed on both counts. :)
One wonders what actually prompted him, in the end, to rethink his position.
It is amazing that he chose to do that. A very rare example of someone chosing to own up to their own bullshit.
I retract my previous snarky remark.
I’ll retract my asshat and potential stalker comments as well.
…for now… :)
