This struck me when I saw a film on TV last night….
Dan Brown has made roughly a bazillion dollars by writing The DaVinci Code, which is, I have now realized, essentially a serious treatment of the Bruce Willis film Hudson Hawk.
It’s all so much clearer now.
I knew there was something missing…
The songs.
I wanted the characters in the book to break out into show tunes, or at least, easy listening standards.
Somehow though, when they get round to making a film of the book, I doubt that Tom Hanks will be breaking into song.
