Quote from comic book writer Warren Ellis’ email-based journal, BAD SIGNAL, received today:
“…any time I open my mouth, I make as many enemies as friends; the overheated nature of fandom means that any time any creator expresses any kind of personal opinion instead of approaching on bended knee, someone somewhere will decide they Hate that creator.”

Hm. I’m sure being such a shy, retiring individual, and so politic in your statements, helps oodles as well. :)
I’m surprised no one has invented an online javascript game that generates hate-filled rants about creator-types. Y’know, you just stick in their name and e-mail address and it auto-emails them on your behalf.
Or maybe that’s how it actually works?!
