Incommunicado

If you’ve been trying to reach me by my adamantentertainment.com address, I haven’t received the email. I’m in the midst of happy-fun-joy, switching the site over to a new host, and due to some stump-fuckingly stupid moves in the previous arrangement, getting DNS switched has been a chore, and I also lost access to the email until the switch is complete. So, if you’re waiting on a response, you should probably post something to the comments below, or use one of my other addresses (if you know one).

…and now, we wait for the change to propagate….

New Comments

As James Wallis once said: “Brevior vita est quam pro futumentibus negotium agendo.”

Or, in English: “Life is too short to deal with Fuckwits.”

I’ve ditched the Haloscan comments system on this blog, because I don’t want to have to deal with Anonymous Stalker Wank-fests. Blogger now offers its own comments software, which allows comments only from registered users. If you want to register, it’s free. Go to Blogger to sign up.

If you don’t want to register with Blogger, you can always comment over on The Phantom Zone, and I’ll be sure to see it…and that requires registration as well.

If you don’t want to do either, people that I care to hear from have my email address, and can reach me that way.

The reason that I’m doing this is so that any fuckhead wanting to continue their masturbatory stalking of me has to register with either Blogger (which has clear terms of service, and is more than willing to give your ass up if you violate it), or the Phantom Zone (which is run by friends of mine who will be more than happy to help me out as well).

Have a nice day.

Weekend

I haven’t posted in a bit, so here’s a run-down of what I’ve been up to:

I didn’t get out to Origins. Money was too tight this year. From what I’ve heard, the “fixgama.org” folks, who have been steadily undermining the ability of the Board to get anything done for the past year or so, managed to get themselves elected as the new Board by walking into the meeting with fistfulls of proxy votes from brand-new member companies. Back room politics at it’s best, from people who bitched constantly about transparency and open debate. I’m finding it more and more difficult to give a shit about what happens to this industry. We make the mess ourselves, and then complain about it.

In other news, SKULL & BONES didn’t win the Origins Award for Best RPG Supplement. I’m 0 for 2. Ah well.

On Saturday, I performed at a one-day promotional faire for the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, held 150-ish miles away in Jefferson City, Missouri. Getting up at 4:30 on Saturday so that we could be loaded onto the cast busses kinda sucked, travelling that distance on a bus that wasn’t able to top 45 miles an hour REALLY sucked, but the weather was great (75-ish and sunny), and I had a great time working on my character in public for the first time. I’ve learned that the Royal Court is a little kid magnet, so I now know that I need to make sure that I have some sort of schtick to do for wee ones.

This week is being spent trying to get the new Adamant website up and running with the new host, and getting the house ready for the visits that are beginning next week, as my youngest two kids are joining us for a nice Summer visit, and my folks are coming out so that they can see all of us together.

Back to work…..
