Dragonlance author Margaret Weis’ new RPG company is producing a SERENITY role-playing game.
Should be out at GenCon in August, I suspect. Right before the film’s release.
(I guess the players in my abortive Firefly game will have to port their characters over to a new system!)

They could at *least* have used the Eden Studios Unisystem …
Nope. No D20.
According to the press release:
“The core book, the Serenity Roleplaying Game, is a self-contained roleplaying game using a new game system specially created for the line.”
and, according to VP Jamie Chambers:
“Our goal is provide a game that is easy to learn, fast to play, and encourages the kind of fast-paced action, fun, and character development that fans will see in theaters.”
I don’t think that D20 qualifies as either easy to learn or fast to play.
Yay!!!!! More Firefly gaming!! I am finally going to get to fly the ship through the Asteroid Field of Immenent Death eventually, aren’t I?

I’ve been thinking of signing up for an event at Origins, but my schedule is tricky to juggle. Some of my "must play" events are in weird time slots.
