I Want My Country Back

Democrat Nancy Pelosi calls the Iraq War “a grotesque mistake” — Republicans call for her head on a platter.

Democrat Dick Durbin, quotes an FBI report on prisoner treatment at Gitmo, and then says: .”If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime _ Pol Pot or others _ that had no concern for human beings.” —Republicans go apeshit and demand an apology…WHICH THE SPINELESS MOTHERFUCKER GIVES, on the Senate Floor, teary-eyed.

Republican power-behind-the-throne Karl Rove, a man who was investigated during Watergate, but let go because the FBI had bigger fish to fry, says Wednesday: “Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war.”

The Democrats demand an apology…and the White House refuses, saying that his comments “were very accurate.”

I hope the Democrats remember this the next time that they apologize, or attack one of their own for making critical comments.

  1. Dude, seriously. The Dems, categorically as a peoples, are fucking weak and being eaten alive by the Republicans. Frankly, both parties disgustipate the fuck out of me.

And that invertebrate should have apologized with a bottle of jack and that “up your butt” arm swing…but I’m not surprised he turned on the waterworks.

Attention Dems: You’re losing more ground every day. The people you’ve voted in are either powerless or spineless and are becoming the GOP’s bitches.

As for me, I’m neither ass nor elephant. I’m a hamster.

  2. My problem is that it’s a “lesser of two evils” thing….no third party is going to be able to break the Republican stranglehold, because that takes organization, which even the other major party can’t manage.

Without a MASSIVE grassroots movement (like Perot in 92, amplified a hundredfold, and not bat-shit crazy), it’s just not gonna happen.

  3. In the end, I put my vote for the candidate I like best. You just cannot judge by party anymore. That being said, the Republicans with control are pissing all over the actual sensible Republicans as well as the Democrats because, frankly, they’ve become insanely powerhungry and full of their own both “godhood” and “godliness.”

The current state of affairs is ugly. Ugly like we ain’t seen since…the 80s.* Damn.

*AIDS sweeps our nation, is on everyone’s minds, it is spreading through unprotected sex, shared needles–EVEN THROUGH MEDICAL FACILITIES. The population doesn’t know what to do; they’re scared, uneducated, need help. President Reagan, donning striped tights and a star-spangled tanktop, leaps to the top of the tallest building and…ignores it, goes back to selling shit to our “enemies.”
