So the Abramoff thing continues:
Bush’s re-election campaign is giving away $6,000 in money connected to the disgraced lobbyist. Apparently, they’re dumping money donated by Abramoff, his wife and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan (Abramoff lobbied on their behalf). They’re giving it to charity.
Gawsh, Bush sure is a Compassionate Conservative, ain’t he? Says so, right there in the brochure.
All well and good, except for one thing:
Abramoff raised at least $100,000 for the Bush-Cheney ’04 re-election campaign.
Not to mention his firm paid for the Florida recount (something like another 100 grand) which the Bush-Cheney campaign was invoiced for, but conveniently never actually paid.
