The Obama campaign will pick four donors at random this week, and then fly them at campaign expense to have dinner with Barack Obama.

Brilliant move. Keeps the whole grassroots thing going, has him meeting with “everyday folks” in contrast to McCain who’s currently in California hosting thousand-dollar-a-plate mass meetings, and also cashes in on his celebrity factor among his supporters.

David Brooks has an editorial about the Clinton campaign in today’s Times, and it’s worth a read.
