We had our stage show audition for the KCRF this evening. We performed the first 10 minutes of a 25-minute show.
The results of the evening, in note form:
1) I still hate having to drive all the friggin’ way out to Independence MO. It’s the *KC* RF, people. Not the IRF.
2) We stone-cold RAWKED. \m/ > < \m/
3) Lots of laughter and applause from the audition panel.
4) We were told that we'd get news only after they finish casting street and scenario. (*sigh*)
5) However, King Ricky's wife told us that apparently he's lobbying to have us, specifically so that we can do "King's Story Time" in the Children's Realm with him, in addition to our regular shows (
We’ll see.
Glad to hear it went well.
Assume absolutely nothing, then you will not be disappointed with any outcome.
D.
Congrats and good luck!
I assume the KCRF is pretty big and elaborate as renfaires go?
The biggest one I’ve personally been to was the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, in eastern PA (something like a 7 hour drive for Clevelanders,) and it was pretty big (or so it seemed to me.)
I had thought of auditioning for the Great Lakes Medieval Faire out my way, but with the new job and all it’s not going to be possible.
And congrats and best wishes from me too.

One of the biggest in the country. (About the same size as PennRen, and maybe a smidge bigger)
It’s definitely in the Top 10, attendance-wise. Some even claim it’s Top 5…but personally I doubt that.
