For those of you who were in Indy for GenCon– you no doubt saw the unique LED art installations that were on several street corners in the area.
Turns out that it’s a city-wide installation from Julian Opie. Check it out. (Specifically, page two of the gallery, the piece, “Sara Dancing” — an animated, colored version of which can be found here on the artist’s website— which was the one closest to the Convention hall.
I was wondering what that was about – I just figured Indianapolis had hipper crosswalks than everyone else, but I did notice that they didn’t seem to correspond to the traffic lights.
It seems like they’ve always got some installation or another going, but that one was pretty cool.
