Update: Weekend Number….HEY! Waitaminute! Festival is Over!
Finally got to sleep in this weekend, for the first time in months. Lervely.
I’d like to say that the weekend was spent doing sweet sod-all, but that would be a lie. Laura was on a house-cleaning binge, and I was pounding away on a writing project for another games publisher that was due today (a D20 Modern supplement on the Triads of Hong Kong). Still, I did take a few hours off on Sunday to watch the entire run of Farscape: The Peacekeeper War, which I greatly enjoyed.
Now that Festival is over, I’m retiring the Herald-avatar for a bit. For now, my default will be Green Lantern, as painted by my favorite comics artist, Alex Ross. I’ve also got my headshot still loaded (although that may be gone soon, too, as the fact that I’m growing my hair back to long again makes it not exactly representative), and because I’m on a measly free account, I only get three pics, so I’m still casting about for a third. Not sure what it’ll be yet.
And now, to close, a meme taken from Denise:
*Wordpad or Notepad? Neither. I’m a Mac User.
*What is your mother’s father’s middle name? Crosby.
*How long does it take you to pee? Long enough.
*How did your parents meet? At the beach in the Hamptons. Dad was a lifeguard.
*What’s your favorite kind of yogurt? Plain, served with rosewater and spices as a Lassi.
*Favorite Disney movie? Something Wicked This Way Comes–Disney dabbling with the horror film genre in the early 80s, based on the Bradbury story.
*When’s your favorite author’s birthday? September 6th, 1972. (China MiĆ©ville…and yes, I’m painfully aware that he’s younger than me).
*How many cousins do you have? 14, 2 of which are “double-cousins”–my Mom’s brother married my Dad’s sister, so their kids are my cousins on both sides! (Strange, I know)
*Do you know how to use chop sticks? Who doesn’t?
*Favorite kind of bread? Irish soda bread
*What song do you have set as your ringtone? Thankfully, I do not own a cellphone.

*Do you prefer carbonated or flat beverages? Carbonated. Love me some bubble-water.
*What’s your favorite kind of accent? Irish.
*Name a country that starts with D? Djibouti.
*What’s your opinion on Ken Jennings? I’m a lot less impressed with Jeopardy ever since they started asking more “pop culture” questions rather than truly obscure or academic trivia, so I don’t particularly care about him (I had to Google to see who he was, in fact).
*What’s the funniest thing that happened to you at a Panda Express? Never been to a Panda Express.
*Name 3 movies that made you cry? I teared up at least once during each of the three Lord of the Rings films.

*Do you like the smell of Sharpies? Not really, no.
*What did you eat for dinner yesterday? Some layered Mexican dip that I made (pretty hearty stuff, actually–beans, jalapenos, cheese, seasoned ground beef, salsa, olives, sour cream, etc.—I wasn’t planning on it being dinner, but damn it was filling.)

*What does your favorite away message say? I’m never away.
*What’s your 14th interest? (checks LJ) China MiĆ©ville, coincidentally enough.
*Move your head from left to right 20 times, then up and down 14 times. Why? That seems a strange question.

*What year is your car, or the car that your parents drive? 2002, I think.
*What do you like on your omelete? Not a huge omelete fan. I prefer straight eggs, over medium, and preferably with a side order of some kind of meat.
*Describe your wallet. Empty too often.
*Did you like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? Never saw it.
*Favorite Shakespeare play? Macbeth
*Say a word in Spanish? I keep thinking of DeSilva, which means it’s a toss-up between “No Pienso!” and “Are Joo Eyeballing Me?”
*Favorite Olympic event? Summer Olympics: Fencing. Winter Olympics: Any of the Skiing competitions.
*Flip a coin. How did it land? Tails. Again, odd question.
*Favorite way to express amusement over the web? A toss-up between “Bwah-ha-ha-ha” and :)
And all that made me feel: Relaxed, strangely enough.
