I don’t really see it. I mean sure, the Christ references are thick in Superman, but I think the image is a lot more reminiscent of Keanu flying in The Matrix Reloaded than Christ of St. John.
Ditto on not really seeing any great resemblance. If anything, it reminds me of some of Alex Ross’ painted pictures of Superman than anything else.
