Another example of the media’s “Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain” strategy — all they want us to focus on is the “OMG HE SAID SHIT”……and totally ignore the complete lack of any diplomatic savvy or hell, even basic knowledge of the region’s history that the candid recording displays.
That is the truth of it. I was really surprised when driving home last night that NPR ran the sound byte leaving in the profanity. It struck me as shocking.
But then, that was the point…all misdirection…
