The National Weather Service has issued a Heavy Snow Warning for Lawrence, KS:
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A HEAVY SNOW WARNING… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY. THE SNOW ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES…WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AROUND 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
…and of course, this weekend is when I have to do all of my Christmas shopping. Yay.
Ah well, at least it will be pretty.
Wow, just in time for Pari’s birthday party. Luckily most of the guests live within a couple of blocks.
So, we got four inches of “pretty” here. It gave a very nice effect tonight, as we saw colored lights shining through the coating of snow on various trees and bushes. How’d things turn out where you are?
