Filming has officially begun on the new series of Doctor Who, so the folks have now been able to snap location shots of the 11th Doctor, in costume and with his new (and as-yet unnamed) companion).
ETA: According to the BBC press release, the companions name is “Amy Pond.”
I like it — I’ll admit I was worried that they’d go with Emo-Twilight-Doctor. This is tweedy and retro, although still a bit Tennant-ish. Most importantly, it’s easily replicated by fans by second-hand shopping or rummaging through old closets. Expect to see more guys dressed as the Doctor at conventions!
