We just got notification from one of The Minion’s top three school choices.
She’s been accepted at NYU.
We don’t know any details on the package she’s being offered (we only got the “Congratulations!” card), but still.
Me? PROUD AS HELL.
Her? I’ll let you know, once she stops hyperventilating.
, The Minion and I went to see The Bank Job last night.
The filmmakers claim that they had a “Deep Throat” insider who told them the true story surrounding the 1971 robbery of Lloyd’s Bank in London. At the time, news reporting of the crime was supressed via the issuing of a “D-Notice” gag order by the government, allegedly to protect a member of the Royal Family, as well as some highly-placed political figures.
Excellent film — equal parts heist caper, political thriller and espionage film. Well worth your time, and most likely to fade from theaters fairly quickly as we get into the blitz of the spring releases….
I’m sure you’ve heard about it already, but I couldn’t let it go without comment.
