Well, that was a pleasant surprise.

I picked up the third issue of PIQ Magazine (“Entertainment for the Rest of Us”) — I had picked up the first issue, and enjoyed the mix of anime, comics, movie, gaming and general geek news.

This issue features a featured interview with China Mieville, and I was delighted to discover not only a reference to Adamant Entertainment’s forthcoming New Crobuzon RPG, but several mentions (made by China) to me personally, by name.

Kinda surreal, picking up a random magazine at a supermarket rack, and reading about myself in its pages. Not something that I think I’ll ever get used to….

What a game. Drama, drama, drama.

Ronaldo Goal, Lampard equalizer, Tied game, Overtime, Drogba gets red-carded for smacking Vidic in the face, and then we go to a penalty shoot-out. Ronaldo MISSES. It’s all over. But wait — John Terry also misses! Final shot from Anelka saved brilliantly by Van Der Sar.

WOW.

An excellent way to spend an afternoon.
