So, I decided that follow-through, as I said in the post below, is one of my biggest problems….but I’m also not happy with the work I did this weekend.
So, I’m addressing both problems at once. I’ve returned to work on an earlier project, rather than start something new. It allows me to follow through on that earlier project, while at the same time abandoning the unsatisfying work that was bugging me.
Revised word count progress:
5580 / 50000 words. 11.16% done!
Cool about following through on the earlier project, though I’m sorry you abandoned the newer one. I’m curious, though–is the 5580 all text you wrote today, or is some of that pre-NaNoWriMo? I know on my own project I’m not counting the pre-existing text toward my NaNoWriMo numbers, so that I can better gauge my progress for the month. Others’ mileage may vary, of course. :)
Some tonight, some pre. Since I’m headed considerably further than 50K, I’m not too picky about the mileage. :)
Try reading it out loud to some one. You would be amazed how easily things come into focus that way.
That’s cool–I was just wondering whether to be awed by your writing speed. :)
My speed is usually somewhere in the neighborhood of 1K/hour. At that speed, though, I’m only good for 3 or 4 hours before I need to take a break.
