in a weird bit of synchronicity, I re-watched Blue Thunder today.
Other than Chief Brody, I’ll most remember him as Dr. Heywood Floyd in 2010. An intelligent and very under-appreciated science-fiction film.
crap!
Dammit, I was just thinking about him this past week. Farewell, Mr. Scheider.
I really need to smack people who think 2010 was crap. Sure it wasn’t the groundbreaking cinematic experience 2001 was, but it represented the novel very well and had excellent effects for the day. I only hope the time comes when 2061 gets the cinematic treatment. Sad that Mr. Schneider won’t be able to be Floyd again.
Oh no! Captain Bridger!
Seaquest was the first sci-fi that ever caught my attention, many years ago. I shall miss him.
