the_themiscyran and I saw Iron Man yesterday — no big review here from me: by now you’ve all heard how good it is.
The thing that got me (and the_themiscyran bet that I was one of maybe two or three people in the theatre who got it) was that they snuck in the original 1966 swing-jazz theme from the Iron Man cartoon! It’s done as a brassy, big-band number in the Vegas casino scenes, and (best of all), as the “Tony Stark” ringtone on Rhodey’s cell.
For those of you unfamiliar with this gem, or needing a refresher:
