Stop the Drama, Vote Obama

As of this morning, for the first time in this campaign, Barack Obama has the lead among superdelegates.

He now leads in popular vote, number of states, pledged delegates and superdelegates.

…and yet, Hillary Clinton stays in the race. Peggy Noonan of the Wall St. Journal has an editorial about this — including a quote from an anonymous superdelegate who says:

“It’s not math anymore, it’s psychodrama. If she can’t have it, no one can have it. If she has to tear the party apart, she will.”

Noonan argues that the call for Hillary to step aside needs to come from a senior party official who is female, white, and not viewed as an Obama supporter….otherwise Hillary will play the victim card publicly.

I don’t care who does it. It needs to be done. She hasn’t had a shot at this since February. Every day she stays in at this point does nothing but feed her ego, at the expense of the Democrats chances in the general election.
