Just got a phone-bank call from the Democratic National Committee — trying to drum up fundraising for state-level elections.
Not a problem with that — at least it wasn’t the Republicans.
No, the problem was the breathless kid on the phone, who rattled through his presentation and summed up with “Kansas City needs to be brought in for the Democrats.”
I pointed out to him that Kansas City is in Missouri, not Kansas (yes, yes, I know there’s a KCK, too, but that’s not the one that people talk about…and it’s been solidly Democratic for decades) — and on top of that, “Kansas City” wouldn’t be a state-level election either way, but a city election.
Fer Chrissakes, Dems — are you trying to HAND this election to the Republicans? You managed to irritate me, and I’m on your fucking side!
