I love the whole “commanders on the ground should make the decisions” argument.
Of course, nobody (and I mean NOBODY) is pointing out that when the commanders disagreed with Bush (see Generals Shinseki and Abizaid), he removed them and replaced them with ones who agree with him (Patreus).
So apparently, that should be “Commanders who agree with the Commander Guy” should make the decisions.
If this keeps up my soul will just be one big bruise. Ouch. Remind me to save the issue of Mother Jones with the article “Iraq for Dummies”. Its really good in a “Oh wow we really are stupid” way.
