The Donald C. Davidson Library at USC Santa Barbara has digital versions of old wax-cylinder recordings available online, at their Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project.
You can download MP3s and WAVs of popular music, hymns, country, jazz, ragtime, vaudeville, and more, dating as far back as 1894 and as “recent” as 1929.
