“The Saddest Thing in Life is Wasted Talent.”

I don’t know how many of you have seen A Bronx Tale, the movie based on Chaz Palminteri’s one-man off-Broadway play, which was directed (and co-starred) Robert DeNiro, but it’s one of my favorites.

Given the thesis statement of the film (which is quoted in my post title), you can imagine my sadness at reading this: Lillo Brancato, the actor who played “C” as a teenager, has been charged with the murder of an off-duty police officer in NYC. He had also appeared in a half-dozen episodes of “The Sopranos”….and if throwing that all away and committing burglary and murder isn’t a perfect example of “wasted talent”, I don’t know what is.

Very sad.
