KCRF stuff

…..and BANG! We’re off.

The cast list for the Chess Match was released today, and and I are on it. So, at the very least, we’ll be at KCRF doing that — first meeting is this Sunday A.M.

We’ll need to tell the Chess Match directors the characters that we’ll be portraying….which are the characters that we’ll be doing in a Lane Act with , assuming that our meeting with the E.D. goes well (and it’s looking very positive so far).

Very busy this weekend: Thursday is All-Call. I’ve been asked to teach Improv One and Improv Two for the Academy — which is this weekend and next. Plus Sunday’s Chess Match thing. Yikes.

This weekend, then: Thursday: All-Call in Independence. Friday: Academy 7 to 9pm-ish in Independence. Saturday: Academy 9a to Noon in Independence. Sunday: Chess Match rehearsal, 10 to 12:30 at the Festival Site in Bonner Springs….and then Academy in Independence from 1 until about 4-ish. Monday: Academy, 7 to 9pm-ish, Independence.

Yikes….and more Academy next Friday through Monday.

Busy busy busy.

  1. Will your class be offered at every session of Academy or will you be let off the hook at all for any of it?

And thanks for the heads up on the Chess Match cast list, as I don’t get those emails at work.

  2. I haven’t seen the schedule, but I’m teaching two classes (Improv 1 and Improv 2), so I expect that I’ll have to be there the whole time.

‘S OK. I’m actually kinda looking forward to it.

  3. Ah, I know that headspace well, I’ve been there a number of times over the years.

There were a few years there that I did more than my alloted number of classes just to be amongst the players and the energy and the immersion of being involved, ya know?

This year I’m going to be running about like a madman to get everything completed, though, so I’ve no other choice but to limit my time there.

Here’s hoping you have some fun with it. I really only asked in that there no possible way one can get from the site to Stone Church in 30 minutes, so you’ll have to short one or the other. Ideally, if your schedule worked out, you wouldn’t have to short either…

    D.
