Summer Rush

I know — no public posts in a while. It’s been a busy week, with a bunch of stuff going on.

and I are now kidless until July — The Minion having safely arrived in Germany for her 6-week summer exchange program. (This was the main reason for my public silence — lots of hassle involved in final preps for her trip, which kept us jumping during the past week)

So summer has now officially begun for us. When The Minion returns, we all head to NY in the following week, where I will be attending ThrillerFest (where I have scheduled meetings with agents), and The Minion will be doing campus tours of NYU and (after a brief train ride to New Haven) Yale (gulp), and we’ll be visiting a bunch of people (including my brother and other various family members, as well as , & co.). Then, back to Kansas, where at the end of July/beginning of August, my other two kids will be here for a visit. But we’re still not done yet, because in mid-August, I’ll be going to GenCon with .

Busybusybusy.

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks — 6/13– and I have ZERO idea of what to do. Party? Go to the KC casinos? Curl up into a ball and sleep until July? No clue. Suggestions welcome.

  1. Hmmm Bday…

With such a busy summer ahead perhaps a relaxing bday bash of some sort. Umbrella drinks…I see umbrella drinks :)

Hey you know, that just isnt fair!

When I project I get male strippers (you are on your own with the Godzilla costume LOL) and I know I am going out on a limb here but I am just betting that G doesn’t want male strippers for his bday.

Do you know how hard it is to get a decent Godzilla costume in Kansas in June? Never mind a stripper willing to put on/take off said costume.

Luckily my imagination has a vast wardrobe.

  4. The 13th! Gads that is the day I fly back from Seattle, and I don;t get in till late. Count me in for something for the weekend. Downtown dinner and wlking around for drinks sounds faboo, or a bbq outdoors and Geekery?
